The Short Version

Miquez Cegin is a recipe journal. You can read every page of this website without creating an account, without logging in and without handing over your name. The small amount of data that does reach us comes from ordinary web technology (cookies, server logs, advertising tags) and from you directly if you choose to email us. This page explains all of it in plain language.

What This Policy Covers

This policy applies to miquez.com and to nothing else. If you follow a link that takes you away from this website, the privacy practices of the destination apply from that moment on, and we encourage you to read them.

Information That Reaches Us

We collect no registration data because there is nothing to register for. What can reach us falls into three groups:

• Technical data. Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure records standard server information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the time of the visit. We use this in aggregate to keep the site fast and stable.
• Cookie data. Small text files described in the next section.
• Correspondence. If you write to us by email, we receive your address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply.

How Long We Keep Information

Server logs rotate and are deleted on a routine schedule. Email correspondence is kept only for as long as needed to handle your message and is then archived or deleted. We keep nothing longer than it is useful for running the site.

The site is served over HTTPS, and the little data we hold is protected with reasonable technical and organizational measures. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, only careful handling.
